Why are people still getting uptight about all this? This is not plan A or B, this is what we have got, Whilst it may not be perfect but until the money trees start giving some of its dosh this is all we can expect, We're not in a position to change anything and for me I'll just be glad when its all done, Maybe in the future we might be so flush with money or we somehow get a decent credit rating we will be able to do more to that side but unless anyone on here who seems to "Know" about how these things work and is willing to dig deep into their own pockets then just wind your necks in.

Here and there
According to the plans, the north east end of the new stand extends approximately 10.5 metres (35 feet) beyond the centre line, towards the big bank. That is approximately 3 metres (10 feet) less than the OG did.

However, the NOG extends approximately 8.5 metres (28 feet) further towards the St. James Road end than the OG did, so it is very close to being the same length as what was there before - just shunted westwards a bit. The decision was taken eons ago to do that, in order to provide a bit more useful space in 'the triangle'.

And, yes, it is a trade-off.

And FURTHER than the edge of the centre circle (10 yards / 9.15 metres).

Thankyou once again for putting this info up Pete , but as you know some seem to not be able to read FACTS !

Some pictures of what's happening behind the Big Bank. The pillar bases (?) are very close up to the back of the Big Bank. Second photo shows the 14.30 Exeter St Davids to London Waterloo train and reminds us of the constraints imposed by the railway line and the embankment.

I'd really appreciate it if people wanting to discuss the detail of the new grandstand including the length took that discussion to http://www.exeweb.com/forums/showthread.php?59586-SJP-redevelopment-Plan-A-B-discussion/page33
