Thought I'd start a new thread for visitors etc to keep up to date on what's happening at SJP

Now safely converted to HF68
Hopefully this thread won't descend into the farce of the 'Stadium Works' thread. Can we just celebrate the progress the club is making and look forward to the end product - please enjoy.
Dont' worry about the money , the average cost of a seat , contracts , Yelvertons , who said what , when and why , height of the changing room roof , the toilets, the away end , the 'at no cost to the club' etc etc etc.
Let's leave it to those involved who have got it this far and not pretend we know more and could have done better.

Over and out (sjp)[ecfc](y)

Looking at those photos (very welcome I must say) it looks like a very easy place for a thief to enter the ground with the away wall being lowered as it has been. Secondly, why did the weatherproofing of the IP Office Main Stand need to be done does anyone know? Lastly, when is demolition scheduled for of the OG as there appears to be an awful lot of work to be done as it is regards changing rooms and toilet facilities etc.?

As far as i know, the weatherproofing only had to be done where the changing rooms are going as water presumably leaked down through the terracing.

Backing Gary Caldwell, thanks Matt and good luck.
Think the club said the o.g wasn't coming down until October or November.

is the correct answer. Where the vertical face of the prefabricated concrete sections, meet the horizontal faces of the sections below, there are gaps. In wet and windy weather, water on the horizontal section is blown through these gaps into the areas below.

So that's the showers sorted then. Saves a lot of copper piping and heating costs.

Move a few of the OG seats in and that's the changing room benching sorted as well.

G2k - saving ECFC a fortune!

The boundary wall will be surmounted by new, sound, and more aesthetically acceptable fencing.

The work on demolishing the structure of the OG is not scheduled to start until the second week in November. The new stand is not scheduled to be opened for use until October 2018.

So we'll have a three sided ground for two seasons?
