Disagree if you like, but it’s not just a difference of opinion, you’re wrong. There’s no way a hire company would replace a consumable that failed while under your hire.

How many Exewebbers does it take to change a lightbulb?

1 to say there is nothing wrong with the bulb.
2 to say it definitely needs changing now.
3 to say it's too early in the season to tell whether or not the bulb needs changing. It probably does need changing at some point but now is not the right time and lets see where we are at the end of the season.
4 to say it doesn't need changing right away and we should be happy with the lights as a whole rather than focusing on one particular bulb.

Wouldn't there be some kind of warranty? (just asking; hides behind sofa) for equipment/ part of which failed?

As someone with hire industry experience,mr moxey is correct, punctures on tyres, bulbs, cleaning of dirty equipment, sharpening of blades etc is always charged as consumables,it comes under the listing of hirers responsibility.if you hired a van and didn't check the oil, water and levels then you are responsible when it goes bang !

There's some good pics of what's happening somewhere on here as well!

Why not ?..................The club are hiring a company to provide a service, that service is the lighting of part of the pitch...if they can't fully light the appropriate part of the pitch they are failing in their service.

Terms and conditions apply - other opinions are available.

Do tell how one can test the robustness of a light bulb ?.........the bulb(s) you are " hiring" may in fact have already seen several thousand hours of use or maybe only 10 minutes old ?..................not a level playing field I fancy..............................on the other hand not checking the oil level or tyres on a hire-vehicle before you use it is just dippy

I use hire cars quite frequently for work. About a year ago I had a flat tyre a couple of days into the hire. Phoned the hire company. They sent someone to replace it. Very good service. Zero cost to me, other than my time waiting.

Anyway there’s a Grandstand being built...

Not a lot of obvious change since the Stevenage game, so I'm not uploading many photographs. Here is one from behind the OG turnstiles
