Things looking bad for Pompey's supporters' Trust http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39576714.

I really hope for the sake of supporter ownership that this doesn't go through!

He certainly talks the talk. But given what has happened elsewhere, you have to be suspicious of his motives.

Supporter representation in the Board Room is really important to me. However, we currently have that and it doesn't seem to be working. Our Club Board appears amateur and the Trust Board toothless. Admittedly it's better than where we were with previous owners, but that's setting the bar really low.

I'm also not against investment. Blackpool is an example where things have gone badly, whilst Bournemouth fans seem pretty happy with life right now. I personally think we should be open to conversations about investment into the Club.

Heaven forbid an extremely rich businessman, probably as ethical as any businessman could be, should take over the club. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Trust contributes 100k per year (enough for JT & SP's salaries?) and is incapable of taking the club anywhere. Yes, the reality hurts.

Pompey is a big club with big potential and I see no reason why a respectable businessman like Eisner shouldn't be given an opportunity to build something better. If the Supporters Trust negotiates properly it should be able to put in place checks and balances to ensure the club progresses sustainably...

They'll vote for it as would the majority of our trust members. Money talks. Who knows how it will work out for the club in the end though ...

To save me looking, as I am not really that bothered what Pompey decide to do, can anyone summarize precisely why Eisner wants to make this investment ?

Presumably they'll carry out due diligence on the ethical 75 year old's 3 sons and heirs too...
