Stacey and Croll's loans finish in January. Should we extend their loans?

I've been happier with Stacey's performance and find that Croll is too inconsistent. Croll and TAH in defence might have been interesting but don't think that will now happen.

So, Keep Stacey, let Croll return to Palace.

Haven't seen either play so really no direct experience to draw on - but just in terms of squad balance I'd prefer a specialist right back to Croll on loan - we seem quite well served for centre backs once they're all fit, (Brown, JMT, Sweeney, Tillson - TAH doesn't count as he doesn't have joints in his legs) so rather than shoe-horn one of those in on the right, lets get a proper full back on loan.

I'm the opposite. I like Croll, he's made a couple of glaring errors that have been costly but overall I think he's been decent.

Stacey to me doesn't influence a game enough. I'd rather see Grant play than Stacey.

I'd probably look to keep both players as our defensive injuries leave us short and Stacey is ok at RB.

Stacey has been completely and utterly wasted. It is pointless keeping him to play at right back or central midfield as he has at times during his spell. Either let him play wide right or don't bother. A player with clear ability to take players on and cross the player hopelessly misused.

I don't think Croll has been too bad aside from a couple of horrible errors but if Brown and Moore-Taylor stay fit and with Tillson returning I'm not sure he will be needed.

I agree. How many other L2 managers would take a player on loan from a championship club and then play him out of position, or not at all? None I would suspect.

Let them both go back (with Tisdales promise that the door is always open, naturally) and get a proper right back in on loan instead. You know, someone that actually IS a RB, not someone who our tactical genius can crowbar into the position. I won't be holding my breath...

Send them both back. At best they've been ordinary and offer little to get excited about.

I'd send them both back too. Stacey never gets played in his natural position and I don't rate Croll in the slightest.

Croll has been ok bar 1/2 errors, quite liked what I've seen from him on the whole, while I doubt he will ever play in the premier league for Crystal Palace I expect he will make a decent career in the EFL.

Stacey ok probably signed to fill in on the wing for the injured wheeler, then injured grant at the time. Deployed to rb when we were short defensively, which by no means I felt was wrong as it was all we had at the time, he did a job by no means spectacular. however I feel if he's to play in that kind of area I'd prefer to see him as a right wing back, obvious threat going forward and having played a number of games at rb for us he'd have built a knowledge defensively.

Given the way injuries have gone for us this season and the luck we are having with them, I'd say if Palace can sort out crolls concussion keep him & if Reading are happy I'd happily keep Stacey too. Both bar crolls recent bout of concussion have always been fit and available and are decent additions to our squad.

there's also the money/cost to take into account...IIRC our playing budget was more or less spent before the arrival of Croll Stacey and (Reuben) Reid

So unless there are January departures (Watkins, Jamie Reid?)....
