Well no, of course. You have tea, possibly sandwiches, couple of scones etc. for tea.

Don't know about the soup, but once tried Cullen skunk in a Morayshire brothel.

Surprised STURTZ hasn't gone for Cornish crab bisque with lemony croutons.

Soup's fine for dinner (lunch) but not for tea (dinner).

Heinz Tomato Soup is very nice. Stilton soup or any cheese based soup is my favourite.

Always called my evening meal, tea when growing up. My Dad calls lunch 'dinner' to make things more confusing.

Anyway my favourite soup is mulligatawny, closely followed by oxtail.

A can of Baxters "Royal Game Soup" tickles my taste buds.

Ask your Dad about when he was courting your Mother, and what time he'd pick her up for a dinner date.

Oh yes, had forgotten about that one, Ballzy. A very good shout.

I'm with Moomin on this. Dinner was at lunch time, and tea was the evening meal.

Not sure there was anywhere to go on a dinner date up Peters Marland/Cookbury way.

It's only dinner if you go out to a restaurant.
