Well you did introduce me to the en dash and i can never repay you for that :p
:(
In the early days...

You: It should be an en dash, not a hyphen.
Me: I don't know what that combination of words means.
I can now see I would be clueless in this role as the technical jargon is going over my head.
:(

Me: it looks like making 28pp
You: I still don't know what that means despite being told ten times :)

Announcement:

The number of votes cast (three) was almost overwhelming but the results are in and, after all that, there was no clear winner.

I have exercised my discretion and gone with Lentil and Vegetable as that was my pre-vote choice.

Thanks to all who took the time to involve themselves in the democratic process.

Pea and ham for me lunch today. It took a couple of spoonfuls to get used to the taste but it turned out bleddy 'ansum.

Went a bit OTT on accompanying toast but that wasn't the soup's fault.

Got myself a pre-packaged vegetable soup mix (i.e. a bunch of diced vegetables) the other day. Very nice.

All these wonderful recipes for preparing the soupage "fresh from scratch" and you are reaching for the can opener.

Disappointing. (n)

Oh that's a tad harsh Al.

We should all be rejoicing that Lionel has finally discovered that his "opposable thumb" - the trademark of all the highest of primates - has a productive use after all. ;)
