Stroudy's post on the Cake thread has reminded me to look at this thread.

No new offerings for over a year. Feckin' dire.

What is new on the soupage front ?

Thanks for the reminder, need to stock up with my favourite - Aroy-D Tom Yum Soup - authentic recipe, imported from Thailand, can be used to launch satellites.

Possibly why it's their biggest export to North Korea, Rae?

Crab. Creamy chicken, mushroom and/or asparagus. Must be home made. Turtle soup is awful, thankfully.

    Re: Soup

I stocked up on soup last week knowing there was a cold snap coming and as it was on spesh at Sainsburys but i keep forgetting it's there. I usually remember just after i've made me a sammidge so i've now put a tin on the worktop as a reminder for tomorrow.

Dug out a homemade tomato and chilli soup (produce from my greenhouse). I'd forgotten just how chilli I'd put in!

Took a can of Baxter's Cullen Skink to work and nuked it at breaktime. The soup itself was so-so but it had the added advantage of stinking up the entire building with fishy odour for hours afterwards. Unfavourable crowd reaction yes but well done Baxter's I say.

    Re: Soup

Can the good people of exeweb help me decide which soup to have for lunch tomorrow? In no particular order, the choices are:

    - Oxtail
    - French Onion
    - Lentil and Vegetable
    - Minestrone

Whichever is chosen will be served with two slices of toast

French Onion as long as it is home made and the onions are caramelised with a quarter tea spoon of sugar while Stroudy is not looking. Best quality beef stock of course.
