And people think watching City is painful! To be fair, i thought we tried to keep playing and was pleased for the Llama.

Reached his peak. Which is above OK but below only just good enough. Agree about Lallana, much underated player.

2-0 against Malta and Jordan Henderson is MoM. That tells you everything you need to know about yesterday. Why do we not just play simple, basic football against teams like this instead of trying to play all this overplayed, short passing **** through the middle of a very congested pitch. Get two proper wingers, a centre forward and a poacher pairing up front. Get the ball wide, wingers pass the full back and get the crosses in. It's all the likes of the Germans do and that is why they slaughter teams like Malta time after time after time.

And it gets worse before a ball is even kicked in the next match. Jordan 'The Mackem Carthorse' Henderson is named captain!!!!!!!! Unbelievable Jeff!!!!!!!

If Saturday was against a slightly better opposition we might have struggled to win at all. We will win the group I am sure but not confident we will be good enough when the finals come around. A quarter final in Russia would right now be seen probably as success.

Another night of where keeping things straight forward and basic would have been more than enough.
