I miss the banter with gulls fans like Granville. We often used to tell them that there were too many retired Londoners moving in to keep them afloat. I don't really know what the social profile is like in the bay area but it makes me wonder if we weren't too far off the mark with our joke.

Don't think it's that Geoff, although it could be a factor among many.

Genuine football fans moving to an area often find an affinity with the local club, Ade Edmondson is one high profile example.

First sentence a bit of a contradiction.
Think you're right, Geoff. Certainly can't base an argument on one example.

Think we should send a couple guys down to take a few sessions as what ever there doing isn't working it may lift morale if nothing else.

Took them off the bottom, still 7 points from safety mind.

I think they will be ok.owers seems like a manager who gets on with it,without a lot of fuss etc,if they can sort out home form then they have a good chance.i don't want to see the gulls struggle and I'm sure a lot of city fans feel the same

today's defeat sees them nine points adrift of safety. Only four on the bench (due to two suspended, two injured)
