In Blatter's recent press conference he has said;

The biggest problem we've had in recent days here in this continent is racism, discrimination. It does not respect the human beings through these demonstrations which are discriminatory.

"And one day we should be an example. Being an example doesn't mean just shutting down a stadium or issuing a fine, a financial penalty, no. It means deducting points, relegating a team. The moment we have the courage to do that, discrimination will stop."

Words are very easy. Yet FIFA for years has ignored the problem especially in certain areas.... Action speaks louder than words

Would be pretty unfair on the players and fans who actually behave themselves.

Agree with the posters above - why should the club suffer because of the actions of their fans? I've never understood that line of reasoning - realistically what is a club supposed to do?
