If Grimes ever gets a run in their first team, I'll eat my hat. He's the next Ryan Harley.

No chance , he's light years ahead of Harley in terms of class.

Grimes will play for his country.

He has been there a month and has made his way from the under 21 one squad to the matchday squad. I think he has more chance than Harley and if he is good enough will get his chance sooner or later.

Ryan Harley was 26 when he left us for Swansea. To compare Harley then and Grimes now is beyond ridiculous.

Not exactly true ! He has been part of the first team squad since his arrival, and only played for U21 team for match practice. Yes he was selected for the match day squad against Southampton. I believe that he is good enough and will get his chance , at least as a substitute, sooner rather than later.

I am only comparing Grimes with Harley in terms of they won't get a run in the first team before being moved on to a lesser team and division. Who is\was the better player is neither here nor there.

Except you don't pay 1.75 million for 19 year old if you don't think there is some sort of future for the player at the club. Another difference in that respect - Harley cost them nothing except around six months' wages.
