The Mexican at Exmouth. Had a meal there on Friday evening after a few ales in the powder monkey. Seriously tasty chicken fajitas washed down with a couple of Margaritas. Good service, plenty of food on the plate and not silly prices either.

Thoroughly recommend The King And Thai restaurant, Great Western Road, Dorchester. Popped in there for lunch and the standard of food was superb. A set three course lunch for 11.95 is, I think, very reasonable. There is a choice of three or four starters, half a dozen or so mains, and two desserts. Can see why it's one of the top rated places to eat in the area.

Harry's in Longbrook St on Sunday pre-match. Not cheap but very nice food and good service. They enquired enthusiastically about the football match we were going to watch as if it was on another planet rather than 100 yards down the road, which amused me greatly.

Anyone recommend somewhere for a fat get who appreciates the finer things in life and caters for people who eat breaded chicken as if it's a culinary delight and drink fizzy drinks even though they are grown adults.

It's the annual gathering of the in-laws where I'm by far the poshest person there.

A good suggestion from the Swanmeister.

It caters for a varied range of tastes.

Cheers swanny. I'd be all over that. Much better than the current suggestion of Frankie and bennys

We enjoyed an excellent Indian meal at the Crediton Tandoori last Saturday. First time we have eaten there apart from the Sunday buffet which is also brilliant.

I particularly enjoyed the Malabar fish curry.

Luckily the place was quiet for a Saturday and we had no trouble in getting a table.

This was more than a rescued evening after deciding to go out at short notice and finding Argee Bhajee in Buddle Lane has closed its restaurant.

I don’t normally like chains for eating out but I nearly suggested that one manc. We use it when we are in a group with varied tastes.

The “decor” in the back room is something else!
