There's a chance to get involved with the play if you're so inclined.

Have you fooked up by saying it opens on Wed 16 June Hants ?

Poor timing ? Clashes with the real game ! ?

I believe the duo of Missy and Willy Nilly are big on amateur theatricals.

Indeed I did Alistair. Swapped daughter's graduation day with birthday.

Looking to attend on the Thursday or Friday of that week.

Never done this before
I read as far as 'musical' and then lost interest.

I've been asked to help promote an event at Exeter Cathedral

Brazil...its not just about the Football

For the past academic year, the 8 Primary Schools in The Clyst Vale Learning Academy
have been working towards an Art exhibition to be held in the Cathedral from 24th June to 1st July.

Inspired by the story of Exeter City's first trip to Brazil in 1914, they have immersed themselves
in Brazilian culture, there's been dancing & drumming but also some serious study.

Nick Stimson director of, The Day We played Brazil, led writing workshops not just about the game,
but also about Exeter in the First World War & students enjoyed a Drama Day at the Northcott.

ECFC have also been invited to share the occasion, we'll be displaying our Brazilian Boards, which tell
the story of our historic game, along with various artefacts.

It will be fascinating to see how the history of our Club has been interpreted by the youngsters
from Clyst Vale Learning Academy & a privilege to share our football story with all visitors to
the Cathedral for this week in June.

Couple of props needed. Can anyone help?

  • old style leather footballs, dating back to the 1914 period
  • A pair of 1914 football boots. (not to be worn)

I have bought two tickets for "The Day We Played Brazil" on Thurs 17th July at 19.30 but am now unable to go as my daughter is in a Celebration Evening at school. They are a full price ticket (£14) and an U16 one (£12) in row G which are excellent seats. I would happily accept £20 for the pair. Any takers?

Who's going to the show at the Northcott when it opens next week?

I've been lucky enough to be working as the project videographer for the last few months, and I have to say that it's looking really good. You can check it out at thedayweplayedbrazil.com and I might even be able to post some BTS photos on here once they get cleared. On top of that, if you use the code BRAZIL241 you can get two tickets for opening night for the price of one.
