A whoosh for you there Jabba I'm afraid.

'Drop the Boy' was a tune-tacular hit for the Bros lads in '88 - as was 'Too Much' a year later.

    I'll get me coat.

With padded shoulders and rolled up sleeves natch.

And add 'ten out of ten' as another Bros song.

    But back on topic

    and the video

as the report says Man U 18s go top with a late winner from Sean Goss -v- Everton, His third goal in 3 games, technically excellent finish.

The comments on the youtube video has some people saying he is now their number one youth prospect

here's more of what Sean Goss has been up to. Playing in a higher age group Under 19s. Away at Real Sociedad. At left back (what it is with City and producing left backs?). kept a clean sheet as Utd won 2-0.

I see the coaches for that team are Scholes and Butt, not a bad pair to learn from for a central midfielder!

The lad must soon be reaching the stage where Utd may be looking to build his experience by loaning him out. Wonder if we may get first option?

Any more money due for him? Looked up we wrote from the Club press release which said we got 100k back in July 2012, suppose we have to wait for him to make his first team debut.

Nothing yet. Hopes are either a) he makes a first team breakthrough soon or b) United cash in by selling him to a Championship club (can we dream and hope for say 2m?).

Unfortunately he's got a little way to go yet. The very best player in the U18s gets into the U21s, which is effectively Man U reserves. Next step for Sean methinks.

The Matt Grimes comparison is worthy of a thread in itself. Goss and Grimes born within 3 months of each other in 1995. Both City youth players, central midfielders, left footed who like to run the game, pinging long and short passes to players in the same coloured shirt, together with a powerful free kick.

But at 16 the routes diverge - Goss to Man U's youth set up and plays against same age players, but at the top level including in Europe. Grimes stays with City and at 18 starts playing League Two regularly. Which is the better route? Who will do better in the long run? What a selection dilemma we'd have had if both were around....!
