Film's good, if you haven't seen it.

Just had a delivery from amazon. Next to read is "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer.

You seem to be working your way through some classics Jinxy - did you inherit a pile of orange penguins?

That's interesting, how is it as a read?

Forced to watch the film at school (obviously long time ago) and it was so gruelling I've blanked it from my mind. I'd probably get it now!

Not seen the film myself, but the book is a good and worthy read.

I'm certainly drawing parallels with the current world and my own recent fortunes (or lack thereof). I've felt a bit like the Joads i.e. having to trample Westwards from the beleagured City in the hope of a job to bring food on the table.

Sounds corny, but never rest on your laurels; the world is continually changing. You either keep up or get trampled in the crush.

Where's Your Caravan by Chris Hargreaves . Plenty of bits about Exeter City plus P******h and Torquay of course . It was available as a free e book download from Amazon .
