Lauda was an absolute legend - not only the way he came back from having been administered the last rites to win more world championships, but the way he competed too. Sacrificing the title in 1976 because he considered his life to be more important showed this up.

The film Rush is well worth seeing, His rivalry with James Hunt at that time was well known.

I always remember that great rivalry between Hunt & Lauda in the mid to late 1970s..It was edgy & very dangerous profession compared to today.

    Jamie Oliver's Restaurants. RIP.

So long and thanks for all the fish. It shouldn't matter though as he'll be leaving the country anyway when Boris becomes PM, just like he promised.

Didn't know that. No wonder the right wing have been celebrating the demise of his restaurants. Feel sorry for the 1300 that might lose their jobs.

He could, of course, still administer the restaurants from overseas. Cooking in them would be tricky though.
Has anybody yet set up website like this (Warning: contains very rude words) https://www.wewilldrivethemtotheairport.co.uk/ for anyone else promising similar ?

Andrew Hall, probably best known for his role alongside a young Nicholas Lyndhurst as the son in Butterflies, aged just 65.

Lord Moore (John Moore) once seen during the 1980's as Mrs Thatcher's possible successor. A blonde earlier version of BoJo in some ways. His political career fizzled out after a bout of ill health.
