Blade runner the original (again) ahead of the new one next week. Had forgotten the violent bits but it did feel quite dated despite being a real classic. Not entirely convinced Harrison Ford was particularly well cast. 8/10

2049? Same questions, just better dress sense?

A brilliant film and as far as dress sense goes .... Whats not to like about Zhora's outfit when fighting / running away from Deckhard.

King Arthur .Legend of the Sword.Having been given the dvd as a freebie from Sky I thought it rude not to watch it.
I wonder what anyone else who has seen it makes of this odd mish mash of a film?
Typical Guy Richie , almost a medieval Lock Stock and Two Flaming Barrels.Plenty of action with a bit of comedy though , with a nasty Jude Law thrown in for good measure. And a snippet of David Beckham as a Captain of the Guard.
A generous 6/10 as it was easy to watch anyway.

T2 Trainspotting. Never got the hype around the first film, thought it a bit something and nothing but this follow up is just plain nothing. Jumping around all over the place, stop start ‘action’ (literally; the camera just freezes) and characters you just can’t warm to. Got bored very quickly and gave up half way through and have no desire to waste an hour watching the second half. 1/10 (and that was only because Begbie was as gloriously deranged as he was in the first film).

Jackie. With the usual Saturday night durge on TV, Flicked over to Amazon Prime and the good lady wanted to watch this. Stars Natalie Portman in the starring role and set around the time of JFK's assassination and her coping with it. Think she won stuff for the role but was very laboured and never got out of second gear, Nothing to write home about. 5/10

Passengers 2017, sci-fi film . Chris Pratt's sleep pod opens in error on a colonisation journey to a far planet.
Alone among 5000 odd sleeping passengers and crew he has to decide what to do.....
Well , I enjoyed it and it has good cgi. In spite of mixed reviews would give it 8/10.

An Inconvenient Sequel - Truth to Power. Never saw the first one. I won't say anything other than that in my opinion it is worth the 90 minutes, regardless of your views on Al Gore or climate change generally.

The Death of Stalin. 8/10. Was worried the film was going to be as long as one of his speeches! Good 90 odd minutes of entertainment, excellent comedy dealing with the death of Stalin and then the power struggle to replace him. A good cast that included Michael Palin. Well worth a watch.
