Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

Rewatching the goals (I love how you can rewind iFollow!) the assists for all our goals were also excellent.

Richards was also excellent today. His pass for the first goal was crucial - a lovely curving ball: vision and precision. Really looks a very promising player.

I remember some Vale **** who lobbed a bottle that missed my head by inches when we were on the pitch after that game. Enjoying the moment now!

    No more iFollow

Almost had a heart attack when I saw this headline! Not that iFollow is the only glimpse of light in the darkness of life, but my Saturday afternoon ritual is a sacred moment of the week (even the missus understands that, and she's never watched us play - although, strangely enough, she has...

well, Lincoln's win mean we can't make the play offs anymore... Rather stressful finish considering how carp the oppo was. But a happy day, all in all.

Cheltenham really are dire. And that's after having watched us all season. Got 0-0 written all over it...

Great performance, fantastic result. A bit of luck with the deflections, but the work rate was outstanding.

Exeter City vs Peterborough Utd. Match day thread.

So we still can't score at home! What a game - for periods of the first half we looked outclassed. But we somehow did enough to hold on and turn it around and by the end we looked composed and confident. The taste of victory is so much sweeter after a sour start.

Bristol Rovers vs Exeter City match day thread

Had a problem with iFollow for the whole first half. Very surreal - we actually looked half decent... Huge result. If only we could finish! Thought Aitchison was a player transformed. Sonny and Chieck were excellent. A lot of great performances in awful conditions.

Blackpool v Exeter City Matchday Thread

Battling 2-2 draw - end to end stuff, memories come flooding back of the good old days (whenever they were). New boy Purrington scores from long range, washing away the green stain on his conscience, to a raptuous response. Cox scores a tap in. CG says something about the training ground.

Exeter City v Carlisle Utd matchday thread

Big game for two poor teams. Both desperately need the win and will go for it, a game of numerous chances, 90 mins of breathless, end to end attacking. Unfortunately both teams are cr*p. 0-0.

Intriguing idea! Scrap goal difference, teams equal on points would be placed according to fan acclamation. It worked in the Colesseum.

A lot of breathing space... the improvement in the last three games (and there has been some) ensures he'll have the rest of the season...

Reading vs Exeter City Matchday Thread

The performance was better than much of what we've seen these last months, but the mistakes were still there. We're a work in progress, but what we're progressing towards I have no idea. I assume Kite's failure to hoof the ball was "tactical", GC's insistence we pass out from the back? Even in...
