So, January is drawing to a close – how did those taking part get on?
It hasn't been the best start to the year for me, both professionally and personally, but completing Dry January (in a few hours anyway) was one positive to take away from this month. After a tricky first week, it was plain...
Well, it was a similar story for the Bills not showing up in the play offs. As AM says, we were lucky against an understrength Miami last week, giving up a 17-point lead in turnovers, before barely scraping over the line. I didn't have a good feeling before yesterday's game despite home field...
I have an Instant Pot. There are nine different functions, but I tend to stick to the slow cook and sauté options. It was around 60 quid and certainly gets a lot of use. It makes top notch rice.
The selection of non-alcoholic beers has certainly improved in the past few years. In Germany, there are a number of 0% wheat beers that taste like the real thing. I haven't seen 0% Guinness here yet though.
Anyone giving Dry January a go this year?
After catching the flu just before Christmas, I didn't feel like drinking over the festive period and decided to extend my abstinence into January. The last time I did Dry January was six years ago (as part of three-and-a-half months of no drinking...
I'll be giving this one a miss – a decision I made a few years ago after first reading reports about how the workers were being treated.
Bring on Germany 2024!
Sounds like you have a great weekend in store, especially with getting to watch the Broncos.
Last Sunday was a fantastic day – we were treated to an exciting game and everyone involved at Tottenham put on a good show. The atmosphere was also superb. As ecfc70 said, I thought the Packers would...
My team, the Bills, should make the play offs again, but will inevitably fall short in the AFC championship game.
My dark horses are the Browns this season.
I'm also going to the Packers vs Giants game. I had tried and failed to get tickets for the last several seasons (you are number 567,823 in the waiting list), but this year the stars have aligned. Can't wait!
Decent analysis, Al.
I was fairly surprised to see the Conservative vote hold up so well. The Brexit Party candidate said they couldn't realistically compete against Labour, who invested a lot of resources into this by-election. The same could be said for the Conservatives though, as they too...
Nah, just google a couple of key words relating to the subject, copy the link and post it on here without reading the content. That's the Exeweb way for political discussions. ;)
1) There's no way Labour would have campaigned to change an electoral system that benefits them at General Elections.
3) IIRC Labour also included an in/out referendum in their 2015 manifesto.
Back in the Conference days, some of the grounds didn't have segregation. While technically there is no "home end", it did feel slightly weird when the opposition scored and people around me cheered. One example was at the Kingfield Stadium in Woking where we lost 0-1 in 03/04.
:D
With my game, a couple of beers might actually improve my score!
We had actually thought about doing our little golf tour in Scotland, but some of the green fees were truly extortionate (to be expected for the best courses in the world, but still). Denmark was the next choice, as it's just...
A friend and I will be driving around Denmark taking in some golf courses and breweries at the end of July.
I'm also intending to come back to Devon for a few days, hopefully coinciding the trip with the start of the new season.
It was quite refreshing to read an honest appraisal of both players though.
I can only go by highlights, but Hamon looked fairly poor when he had to step in for Pym last season, so I think MT's comments are fair.
