The next big Challenge for Caldwell is to sign a striker and a proper one in the summer.
He spoke a lot about getting a striker in January and the one he plumped for hasn’t worked and id be surprised and slightly disappointed if we wanted to sign him permanently.
Sonny is doing alright and...
I think he 💯 % deserves to keep his job for next season. he’s kept us up. and we could end up improving on last seasons 14th spot which given how few goals we’ve scored and the lack of depth we have in attack is mad really.
I do feel he’s lucky in a way that the division is poor and the...
We waited all that time for a striker and in reality we’re still in the same position as we was at the start of this season, the only saving grace is a young lad in Sonny has done “ok” and looks like with time and experience like he maybe a useful option
i understand that and its got zero relevance in reality to their current league standings but those two are “big” clubs at league 1 level and you would expect more quality in there play.
They was a poor side….yet another home opportunity missed there has been so many this season….
the games i’ve seen at SJP this season i’ve been shocked at how poor the opposition sides have been and that includes Charlton & Pompey both ex premier league….
the standard in league 1 this season...
Eisa’s performance off the bench today screamed get me out of here….
Today is the first time i’ve really taken notice of Wildshut but i genuinely thought he was superb…i couldn’t believe he was subbed off.
Woods was very good and would be a fine signing if it was possible.
Absolute rubbish, the pass/cut back he played for “not sure” who scuffed wide on the 6 yard box was top draw as was a cross he whipped in low at the front post which was scrambled away for a corner, his final ball was good it was the finishing or lack of target centrally which was the issue not...
I’m surprised Wildshut isn’t getting more credit or notice i was really impressed with him today , first time granted, but he was direct put 2-3 great crosses in and roasted their right back….
Rankine came on and didn’t in comparison
One thing that’s still evidently obvious is we need a proper proven no9.
Sonny is young , inexperienced and at times it bounces off him….i can’t remember him having a shot
Eisa won’t be here next season, he didn’t have a kick when he came and his body language was a bit meh….
Woods was very good, energetic, zippy passes and it was great to see someone slide in and win a tackle for a change.
Tom Carroll is evidently a fine pro and had a fine career and no doubt is comfortable in possession, i do feel his passing is too safe though at times, there was a point think...
It felt like a pre season friendly-end of season mid table game.
does nobody kick anyone anymore?
Woods played well, but Wildschut was the best player on the pitch was sad to see him get taken off , he roasted their right back 2nd half….
Tom Carroll, neat and tidy but pass the ball forwards...
