    General Election - 8thJune

Claiming particular groups of Jewish people to be insincere or fake is specifically an anti-Semitic trope.

    General Election - 8thJune

This is an absurd accusation. You may not like the people throwing the Pesach at all but they are Jewish, were celebrating Passover, invited Corbyn and to claim it to be fake is anti-Semitic.

    General Election - 8thJune

See, for me the anti-semitism I tend to see is conspiracy theorism (dark money, media control etc) and OTT anti-zionism to the point where it becomes condemnation of Jewish folks rather than Israeli expansionism. I tend to mainly come across it in countless Labour Facebook groups, and though I...

    General Election - 8thJune

Legitimate question here: what do you think anti-semitism looks like in the Labour party? What varieties of things are said, where are these things said etc. Extension question: what would the process look like for handling this, and do you think the current process has changed much since Corbyn...

    General Election - 8thJune

TIG have set out their Brexit strategy which is to get Theresa to drop her red lines and move towards a permanent customs union. Which last time I checked was basically the Labour strategy. What was the point again?

Oops, Christopher Davies has been charged with falsifying his expenses invoices

Yep! Not sure what the NEC were thinking re-admitting him but happy about this

    General Election - 8thJune

Yep. If it was just continuity remain devoid of any other political context I'd be all for it, but the MPs so far have a solid common political ground that you described wonderfully here. That strain of politics (and especially that strain of economics) needs fighting against.

Oh I whole-heartedly agree, they're the same sort of social conservative grey as Blair and Cameron, but Yeah he's an odious toad, although I (unsurprisingly) don't really rate their parliamentary party at all. Lib Dems are another party where the membership in general hold significantly...

    General Election - 8thJune

Is there anything in particular that's not appealed about the Lib Dems? I can't really see much between IG's politics and the LDs.

Kinda hard to manage 14% of the vote in an election when you only stand in 11 constituencies

It'd have more stock with me if Soubs wasn't putting the boot in on election night

    General Election - 8thJune

I am, yeah. I'm not pleased with some of my CLP but I do strongly feel we should be going forward with a candidate that better represents us. It'll be interesting to see what happens to be honest - there's a sizeable minority faction in the party that's very loyal to her but they've been...

A bit of publicity and sticking the boots in to their ex-leaders before all 11 were inevitably deselected

    General Election - 8thJune

I'm interested to see what their selection process will be - would wager it won't be particularly fair or open. Yeah. Tom Watson is a real shame, he does some astounding advocacy in a number of really under-represented areas but is, by all accounts, an absolute unmentionable

    General Election - 8thJune

The only really interesting point on the Labour benches will be if you end up with folks like Tom Watson using this as an opportunity for coup 2: electric boogaloo. Folks like him going would actually promote this from a few stragglers who've been a pain in the arse for months going to an actual...

    General Election - 8thJune

Kinda reinforces for me how much of this (with both ex-Labour and ex-Tory MPs) is just posturing. I don't see how their votes will be practically any different from how they've been the last 2 years - they'll vote with their old party on basically everything and rebel where they already rebelled.
