    Worst Ever Performance

Oh jeez, yes, the ‘crowd’ was a paltry 1,600 or so IIRC, you could hear a pin drop. Another dire show in a freezer.

    Worst Ever Performance

One in particular sticks in the mind. League 1 v Brighton at the Withdean, Feb 2010. An awful performance on a bitterly cold day, not been so angry with a City team before or since, they just gave up. 22nd in the table. I wonder if Matt Taylor remembers it, he had a shocker, one of many on the...

I’ll be surprised if that wasn’t Japan’s peak, the players must be physically and emotionally drained after that epic. Fukuoka is some player. Brighton II ? Nah, losing QF would be a great achievement though.

Note the two FGR defenders appealing for the throw in just before the superb Sparkes cross, a pivotal moment. It’s the occasional rub of the green you need for a successful season, could it be our year ?Bowman had an excellent game overall, and for me shaded MoM.

Sparkes did well for the assist, but the ball went out of play on the sideline. Haven’t got away with much else with this ref, ‘sponsored’ by ecotricity 😀

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Agree totally, Bill. Was only saying the same recently; a representative national team should be represented by nationals only, born and bred. The Vunipola brother are proud Tongans, Tuilagi’s Samoan, Heinze the Kiwi was playing for Crusaders as recently as 2015. I call it the Zola Budd...

The Conservative and Unionist Party would never wilfully sacrifice NI on the high altar of Brexit. Dismantling the ‘precious’ union, good grief, the blue rinse would be apoplectic. Wouldn’t they ?

I'm really unsure what is meant specifically by a 'blind Brexit', Art. Any Brexit is blind to an extent, and the future relationship with the EU during the transition phase could equally be determined by a future Labour leader ? Or have I misunderstood ?!

You’ve totally missed the point, Al. The UK agreed to, and committed to contributions to the EU budget up until the end of 2020. The EU and the UK jointly determined and agreed to the ‘divorce bill’ in the Withdrawal Agreement. We are leaving the club part way through a budget cycle, and...

Strange Brexiter analogy; buying a banger from a second hand car dealer. More accurate analogy would be one where you decide to cease full membership of a snooker club halfway through the year, and threaten the club you’ll withhold your annual subs, contravening club rules, before going into...

Good question, Indo, neatly swerved as usual. Delusional to imagine a threat to flounce strengthens the UK’s negotiating position, yet Brexiters keep trotting it out, like they actually believe it.

Polls are there to influence rather than measure, look how Teaser got over excited pre 2017 election, and then what happened. Be interesting to see the ‘polls’ results should the UK still be a member of the EU on 1 Nov.

That excitable bloke with the scrunched up face from Beeb Brekkers who’s on Strictly currently. He appears a genuinely nice guy so a firm slap around the chops will suffice.
