Re: ECFC Transfers, in/outs Summer of 2018

To be honest, it's too soon to say if it was successful, but the signs are quite good.

Wholeheartedly agree. Loan signing is more than enough - no point signing just for the sake of it.

It's a very good squad : strong in all areas with good competition for places.

Re: ECFC Transfers, in/outs Summer of 2018

The young ones are getting valuable experience in lower leagues to toughen them up. I'm sure MattT knows them very well having been directly involved with the U23 team and I'm sure he'll pick them...

Think you forgot Stockley. Then we have the group of youngsters loaned out, some of whom there are hopes for continued progress, first team selection and eventual transfer.

OK. I thought it was just speculation but with some rationale that it might happen from some of our fans

Re: ECFC Transfers, in/outs Summer of 2018

All sounds good : those contacts are useful. And the fact that quite a few of our younger players have gone on to a higher level shows that our little club down in Debbon is not totally ignored.

He's pretty highly rated at Leeds. Injured since January (ankle). Seemingly ok now. Not sure why he'd be coming to City.

Re: ECFC Transfers, in/outs Summer of 2018

Just concerned that it's a position which might be targeted a bit : Moxey and Woodman aren't as fast as they used to be. Rest of the team very happy about on paper.

I agree that it would be nice to have a quality centre back option if poss. Also our left back position.

Re: ECFC Transfers, in/outs Summer of 2018

As has been mentioned - atm Sweeney or Moxey or even Croll would switch to centre back, but I agree that it would be nice to have a quality centre back option if poss.

Testing the waters. If we were skint yes,, but we're not. Tisdale will be too cautious to offer more : bigger risk for him to spend a lot if it doesn't come off.
