Where's Harley? Scored some of the best goals of the last 15 years, scored more than the likes of Coppinger as well. Flack was awful.

Gave us good service for nearly ten years though didn’t he ,and scored a few goals in the process.Must have been one of our all time highest overall goal scorers?

Harley played 232 times for us over various times, some loan spells, scored 40 goals (every one was memorable) fell away a bit towards the end but still averaged a goal every .17 of a match, not bad for a midfielder.

Coppinger averaged .15 but was played a striker with us, a position he was not comfortable with.

Flack scored every .22 of a match, out an out striker?

Scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer. Where's Tom Nichols?

Cheltenham reserves.

Wheeler had a great record of goalscoring record for us (better than Flack) and was a winger.

86 Goals in total for Flackie...technically not the greatest no doubt he scored a lot of vital goals in his time with us. I particularly remember him scoring an absolute cracker in a match against Swansea at SJP in 98/99 season.

Add to the Swansea goal, the overhead at Hull City and the thirty yarder at Carlisle. Would be good to see the last two again if they are out there on YouTube.

A bit surprised to see Devine so high up everyone's list. Did alright in the conference before we put a proper team together (which he wouldn't have got into).

1.Rowbotham was the best player I'd seen in red and white when he arrived (only saw his second stint, unfortunately). Maybe it's rose tinted glasses, but for a relatively small and slow striker towards his autumn years, he was miles ahead of Devine.

2. Cureton in a similar mould, in terms of finishing and technical ability, but retained a bit more pace and ability to get in behind. Maybe he was better than Rowbotham... Don't know... But Dazza stood out more to me at the time and memory plays tricks.

3.Only stayed for a season, but Gary Alexander was excellent in a very poor team. Held the ball up, muscular, decent movement, finisher... Would love him in our current side.

4. Stockley was a frustrating player. Sometimes looked imperious, other times anonymous. Consistently got on the end of stuff though.

5. Similar to Alexander, but a bit quicker and less muscular... Jamie Mackie. Took a while to get going, but can't argue.

6. With the most success since leaving SJP, Watkins wasn't primarily a goalscorer with us, but by his final season, he was miles to good for the league.

7. Again, offered a lot more than just goals... But he scored enough, over a few seasons. Adam Stansfield.

8. Think his time with us has been slightly unfairly reappraised to the negative because a) he's done nothing since leaving and b) people were a bit unhappy he left. But... His record stands up. And people WERE excited by him when he was here. Tom Nichols.

9. We're in a bit of a sticky patch in a good season... And our top scorer is in a bit of a dry spell. Struggles to hit a cows arse with a banjo at times, but he's put enough away. Gets chances... Which is half the battle. Gets enough chances to afford to miss (a lot) and still have respectable stats. Is he the best thing since sliced bread? No. Would I swap him for washed up conference level flat track bully Sean Devine? Never. Ryan Bowman.

10. OK, he was useless for us for ages. Took about a decade to get to league 2 standard. It's a damning indictment of the club that the team was poor enough to persevere with him, but... Ultimately, he did have a few decent seasons for us... His goalscoring record might have taken a long time to compile, but ultimately, he scored a lot of goals in the end and was (after a decade long warm up), always a threat. Steve Flack.

Would make for a pretty impressive montage of best bits we get to see today when new signings are made.

Not sure when the "Modern Era" started but Christian Roberts scored 18 in 65 appearances and was as exciting a player as I have seen at City. His goal against Slime was sensational!
