Jay just plays like his Dad did - never stops running for the team & gets in right place at right time. So proud to be a Grecian in Guzz tonight - overheard home fans they had one to watch in U23 from their academy - nice for us to have a complete team ! Hope our view from away end on March 23 better than theirs from refurbed stand. UTC

Comfortably mid-table
Teams that we could face in the next round
6 teams definitely in 2nd place
Fulham
Middlesbrough
Newcastle Utd
Reading
Stoke City
Wolves

Doncaster
(also in second place but usually you'd expect some seeding to avoid playing a team you've just had in your group)

Then very much likely to be

Wigan
Sunderland & Liverpool could technically finish 2nd in the same group but it would need some very unlikely results in the two remaining Wigan games.

Official attendance at U23 Gargoyle v Fulham was 116 including at least one delighted Grecian !
Gargoyles 'Nance' says "Second Best Gargoyle "We will keep working, we’ve got some boys knocking on the door [of the first-team] but we want more than one or two, we want six or seven. It’s going to be difficult but that’s what youth football is all about."
Great that City have 11 already 'through the door' due to our academy. UTC

I love "second best". Reminds me of a Private Eye spoof when Henry Cooper lost to Cassius Clay (Muhamed Ali) in the 60s: "British boxer second. American next to last"

Speak for yourself! Fulham (A) would be just lovely.

Surely it would be at home as we won the group, unless you are talking about the quarter finals
