Yes, but Martin and Parkes should have been enough to handle their strikers, with Sweeney and Dickenson as attacking full backs. Surely we can vary the system a little bit depending on the opposition?
So play 2 at the back. Unheard of. Or make wingers play out of position and lose a player in attacking positions? Why?

Ajose may have missed a few chances yesterday but e was unlucky, the positions he took up and the fact that he was always looking to get a shot away tell me that he is going to come good. I was worried that at the start of the season he was behind the pace and weak but now, with his energy and desire, I'm sure that he was actually injured when he came to us and is now getting back to the fitness levels required to score the goals and fire us to promotion.

Today feels like a very important match in the context of our season. However, today has also been designated mental health awareness day and, as ever, our club and it's social media team have been doing amazing things.
Thanks so much for highlighting this - we were delighted to support the campaign and tried to do as much as we could to emphasise the importance of awareness around mental health.

If this got one person talking that was struggling - it is a job well done.

It's not unheard of for a team to play 4-4-2 at all, although I agree the trend is 3-5-2, as if 3-5-2' has suddenly invented football.
Duncan Ferguson and Ancelotti have changed to 4-4-2 at Everton, very successfully. Let me remind you Ancelotti has won 3 Champion's League and many other trophies.

But we haven't got the players to play 4-4-2 at the moment as we don't have a fit left back (and you think Deano can play left back these days then you're deluding yourself. He is a car crash waiting to happen every time he plays there).

What’s with the thread title?
Do you need to talk about it, Antony?

I was under the impression he was more of a specialised wing back.

Not sure he specialised in anything yesterday other than not being very good.
