Just can’t see him paying out what would have to be a record signing for Kane. Especially if he is sticking with 442, attacking wing backs are of less use in that formation! Love to be wrong though.

Some of you need to wake up and realise there is a whole world of players out there, Kane Wilson is a decent young player however he doesn't warrant the status some of you seem to have placed him at. Also why on earth would we spend decent cash on a full back who would probably only sign a two year deal, it doesn't make any sense at all.

Meanwhile we carry on with Sweeney. I think he warrants a lot of status : I doubt very much we can get a better right full-back than Wilson, and I shall continue to hope he'll come back, so you'd better move on.

Well, yes with getting on for two million pounds of transfer fees received in the last 14 months there should be plenty of cash sloshing around but I assume this has all been allocated already and the suggestion is that we have already gone over budget to sign Nicky Ajose. The problem is that the only money we have had coming in this summer is the relative peanuts for Jay Stansfield with the promise of slightly more for Hiram at some point. We have a number of sell-on clauses that could pay out and a number of first-team players who could be sold for a profit so it is highly likely we will have more money coming in in the future but, of course, none of that is guaranteed so the club are probably right not to spunk too much more cash out on players just yet.

Isn’t it also deadline day for L1 and 2 but only permanent transfers? The loans till the end of the month?
