Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

In looking up the origin of FGR, I was pleased to learn that they once merged with a team called Nailsworth Thursday.

    Agent's Fees 2023/24

Digging into the detail of the players involved for us, there are: - new registrations for five youth players: James, Edgecombe, Beardmore, Billington, King - updated contracts for two players: G Woods, Sweeney - new registrations for five 1st team players: Harper, Aitchison, Carroll...

    The Serious Torquay Thread

It sounds like it could be a consortium involving Clarke Osborne's sidekick George Edwards. It was a bit weird that he resigned from all the Gaming International related companies on 20th February (the day or so before the Torquay United announcement), but was then still at the ground for...

Choose the New Third Kit for Next Season

This one will be a keeper, I'm afraid. If it's helpful to know what sort of price another one might fetch, I was happy to win an Ebay auction at £89 in 2022. I thought it might go for a bit more.

Choose the New Third Kit for Next Season

I was lucky enough to track down one of these a year or so ago. It's from the 78-79 season as the 'ECFC' has the fancy writing. (In 77-78 it was in plain text). It's long sleeve with no number on the back, so am not sure if it was an unused club shirt or an early replica. I don't really recall...

    Ethan Ampadu

It's 24 teams (6 groups of 4) but that's too many as well. And you have the farce of best 3rd placed teams going through to the knock out round.

Choose the New Third Kit for Next Season

The all-green was worn away to Liverpool in the 1979/80 League Cup 4th Round tie. We played them over two legs in the 2nd Round in 1981/82 and got an 11-0 aggregate chasing. We wore the yellow and blue away kit to the away leg (which I went to). The club produced an away scarf that had a...

Choose the New Third Kit for Next Season

Nope. It says in the article that the shorts will be red with a white trim. Will look a bit like the sort of kit Walsall used to play in.

Choose the New Third Kit for Next Season

Agree. In effect, we would end up wearing this kit in the away matches in which we could have worn the home strip anyway. I always like it when away clubs decide to wear their home kit at SJP, rather than pointlessly change it.

    Exeter City Women 2023/24

Possibly an example of where playing at the main stadium in front of a big crowd doesn't always help.
