If we had a striker one on one with keeper we’d expect them to score. Pete seems to have much higher expectations for our keepers than other teams custodians.

Agree although sometimes he looks like he’s never seen a football before, next thing you know he’s nailed one into the back of the net. Also he has a funny action which sees him sort of bend over and often then fall over! Sure we’ll work on that with him pre-season, going to be a star for us...

The initial break from the player who won the pen looked offside. Aimson raised his arm and hesitated which was probably a mistake as matey left him for dust and he was always playing catch up after that

Thought atmosphere was a bit flat in the ground most of the game. Even after we’d scored. Some lazy/tired passing out there today. Officials were poor which didn’t help. Still we could only have dreamt of finishing 13th just before Xmas so all in all a good end to the season.

So, here we are, safe and relaxed. One more push lads and we can all put our feet up for a month or two and savour our third consecutive season in League 1. Well done GC, his team and the boys. Feel good about this one. UTC!

Re point 3 - based on numbers alone we’re re already in fantasy land. Maybe, just maybe our model is viable and the consistency it provides together with the opportunities we give to quality players overlooked elsewhere or youngsters others don’t gamble on can drive us to another level again...
