In other news tonight Oldham have drawn 0-0 at Southampton, which just about makes them safe.

It also just about finishes the Saints' play-off chances, so may go to the Gills on Sat week with nothing to play for. On the other hand, it makes it more likely that Huddersfield will be booked for the play-offs before the last day.

Right then, let's fly into Charlton at the weekend and climb away from that horrible line on the league table. Leyton Orient are away to Millwall, Gillingham are away to Norwich, Tranmere are away to Colchester and Yeovil are away to Brentford. This could (could) be a perfect opportunity to jump a few places.

Geddon City, make the most of it.

Also now that Southampton could only draw, a win at Stockport for Huddersfield will
put them in the play-offs !!

2 points lead over Tranmere with them to play Colchester away and Millwall and Stockport at home.
Even a draw at home on Saturday means we will be guaranteed to stay out of the relegation places and a win would keep us at least two points clear going into the last two.

Looking at Tranmere's next fixture a draw should take us to being effectively four clear and a win would leave us needing only a point in the last two to be safe.

Thank you Brentford - that was massive for us.

Big favour from a team with little to play for tonight.

Looking at the run-ins, I still have a feeling Gillingham could sneak down.
