Just how carp was Ryan Loft?
Hartridge didn't give him a kick all night. No surprise when he was taken off, he looked poor.

Was he poor or did we make him poor?

Had to make do with the wireless tonight as driving back from Dorset. DAB Radio Devon had the bleddy Gargs game and AM reception terrible until Honiton. Commentary including the usually sharp Onion Bhaji not great with them watching on their TV sets from home. Sounded as if camera angles poor.
Did not really get any perception on our performance but it sounded as if Scunny were dog sheet and good to read through the thread to see what posters thought.

Good win for us in what could have been a difficult match

Hartridge was very good again, tonight. He appears to have cut out those lapses of concentration and could be a critical factor for us in the final third of the season.

Another excellent all round team performance MJ on fire and really pleased for Sparkes as he has been taking some stick from various sources over recent months.

Other results a bit of a mixed bunch Bolton beating Cambridge. Would have preferred a draw or Cambridge win particularly as we have three games in hand on them.....although we do also have two games in hand on Bolton.

Crawley beating Salford good result for us.....we have a game in hand over Salford and they still have to come to SJP later this month.

FGR drawing with Morecambe best result for us......we have games in hand on both but possible downside we still have to play FGR away.

Mansfield beating Cheltenham excellent result for us......Cheltenham up next at SJP win that and we will be three points behind them with a game in hand.

Newport beating Bradford City......would have preferred a draw but failing that I think a win for Newport probably best for us given that we have a game in hand over them and although having played the same number of games as Bradford still have to play them at SJP.

Tranmere winning at Southend the worst result......we have a game in hand on them and are away to them the Saturday following the Cheltenham game.

This month is massive 10 points from the next four games Cheltenham (h) Tranmere (a) Oldham (a) and Salford (h) as long as 1 of those points come from the Tranmere game and we will be right back as serious contenders for the autos.

Argigle running into a sticky patch and there is usually one team in every division which, after looking relatively safe, suddenly goes into free fall, it may not be beyond the realms of possibility that we could pass them going in the opposite direction and just how good would that feel after the farcical end to last season.

Al, now that you're back from Dorset will you be embarking on a cull of the miserabalists?[

7 six pointers to go with a better goal difference over most challengers means that it is very much still in Grecian hands.
Need to keep squad fit and no silly sendings off.
Only problem for Matt T is with Parkesy & Sweeney available does he change back line ?
What happens when Williams and Stubbs are fit ?

Bet he would have taken your hand off in Jan with these problems and 14 games to go !

Well done to the players and Matt. Tonight's performance was nigh on faultless and an absolute joy to watch at times. First to every loose ball, incisive and inventive in attack and defensively very solid. We looked too good for League Two.

If only we could play on that pitch every game.
