Would also love to know how the numbers for standing and sitting compare. Are a higher proportion of people now choosing to sit since the opening of the new grandstand? If so, that would presumably mean the income generated per person is higher.
There has of course been an increase in numbers seated as two seasons ago we had only one stand and last season over 1/4 of the games were before the SASS opened. I'm pretty sure there has also been a sustained increase in the ratio of seated to terrace customers compared to the last season when we had the OG, hardly surprising as the "customer offer" is so much better at SJP generally now - as well as the new stand it's so much better for away fans especially and their numbers are also up, only Mansfield (struggling at the lower end of the table) and Cheltenham (affected by the closure of the M5) were significantly below expectations.

But as explained this is not the only factor in overall revenue:- mix of customers, increased number of season tickets, etc. all affect the totals. The details are of course commercially sensitive but the Club are very aware of these factors and monitor them closely.

My "23" was for the number of home league games, not seat price.
Got it. My daft mistake.

I'll go 6.5k, especially if the weather is ok.

I really hope that you're right, but that is looking very optimistic at the moment. As of this morning Newport had sold 475 and we had a total of 4,100 including season tickets, a total of 4575. With 11 spoiler matches being shown on the TV with a 3pm kick-off and the students having gone home the prediction is now about 5,500. Another negative factor is that there are no trains. If there is a lot more than an extra thousand turning up it could put a lot of pressure on the turnstiles. If you are planning on paying on the gate it would be good if you could get there at least 45minutes before kickoff.

I was getting the impression that this would be a bumper crowd. Al Yates kept saying that the seats were nearly sold out, added to the Big Bankers and Newport fans plus those who show up on the day.
Let's hope that the optimistic estimates are correct, but if your info is correct I agree 6k would be pushing it.

The big factor in terms of crowd size is how many will be on the Big Bank. Lots of places available there at the moment so it would need a big pay on the day crowd to boost numbers to 6,000 plus.

The seats have sold really well - there is a noticable factor of supporters bringing family and friends - buying several tickets per order.
The Plymouth game had sold out both seats and the Big Bank before the match - not so this one.

Thanks for the update.
Sorry to.hassle on your Xmas Eve (no need to reply if too late at night) but how many fans would ordinarily show up on the BB for a match day to pay at the gate? Any idea?

Sorry Mike I have no idea. I just know that when there is big walk up crowd the queue can quickly stretch back out of Stadium Way and it's the last 15 minutes when the pay on the gate people often turn up. Hence me advising people without a ticket to arrive early.
