Randell Williams joins Exeter City from Watford

I'm not a fan yet of either Randell or Ryan Bowman, but they both deserve more time in the team to settle in. Williams has plenty of technical ability, no doubt, but some of his decision making on the ball is not clever, although that kind of stuff can be learned.

I think he could be more effective on the right side cutting in on to his left foot. On the left he seems pretty easy to defend against, you just send him down the line and once he knocks it past you, just use your body to see the ball out of play.

Certainly what happened on Saturday and he was quickly switched to the right, doesn't have the strength or explosive turn of pace to get him beyond that last defender. Hope he can improve.

The downside of being top, and no doubt there will be other players attracting interest. Just hope we no longer are giving out contracts with release fees valid in the January window.

Randell Williams is under contract until summer 2021. He was signed from Watford on a free but with a "generous" sell on clause. What does everyone feel would be a suitable fee if he were to be transferred to Forest in January ? How about 300k PLUS Richardson in exchange ?

I think by the end of the season Jayden Richardson will be something quite special, and we'll be vary sad that we have to let him return to Nottingham.

At least it would be something if any fee mentioned in a contract wasn't fixed (e.g. Stockley's £750k) but the minimum we would get.

Do clubs get a list of all attending scouts? I think premier league clubs do, and teams in Europe. Would be interesting to see the amount, and calibre, of teams scouting at SJP.
