If you look at Brighton - in 2002-3 they were getting crowds of 6,500 when in division 1 (Championship level)
They now get 35,500.
Whilst at college in Brighton I attended Division 3 games at the Goldstone with 33 and 36k spectators, the potential has always been there. Their rise is based on the success of one of their supporters (now owner) in the gambling industry. Check out Tony Bloom if you have never heard of him !

Given the recent debate on whether it would be morally right for the Grecians to accept sponsorship from gaming companies perhaps Brighton and Brentford provide "food for thought" ?

Bury given an extension til Tuesday 5pm to give time for the takeover to be completed but it has to be in place so the EFL can ratify it

Not a lot of time to get a squad together ahead of a game next Saturday. Or do they players ready to go?

And so it drags on and on. If they do get around to playing the backlog of games it will be quite a back schedule they’ll have. Be interesting to see what their minus points total will be when they eventually catch up. Who will be next I wonder?

Would be a tough asking to assemble a squad, Also the EFL have said that there will be no further suspension of Bury's fixtures meaning if the next one can't be played then they're gone

According to reports the potenial buyers are a little miffed with the EFL for given them such a short deadline to complete the deal what with the Bank Holiday etc, Are they serious? They come in at 10pm Friday evening to submit a plan, Every man and his mothers knows the plight of Bury, If they had been so worried then surely they'd come in with a bid earlier? I know they probably thought "Late bid, Better price" but that's not the EFL's fault, If you're serious then you should have at least money in place to prove funds
