So, the can is kicked down the road until Halloween, with a review in June.
Many questions arise :
Will May survive?
Will there be a GE?
Is there time to organize a 2nd referendum?
Will Farage's Brexit Party sweep the board in the EU elections and try to sabotage the EU?

If we thought the situation was fraught with difficulty, just wait until the campaigning for EU parliament starts......

One thing is for sure: with the exception of Macron the EU is desperate to avoid a NO DEAL.

Of course the EU don't want us to leave for as long as possible , Nobody would cut the throat of the biggest cash cow when they can carry on milking it !

Apart from those who voted leave despite living in areas of the UK which receive vast EU subsidies for social projects.

"Now make the best of it". Here is teh chance for the British parliament to get their act together and start behaving as they should have done 2 years ago.

Yet more FAKE NEWS and "alternative facts" from Exeweb's own answer to Sarah Huckabee Sanders! ;)

In actual FACT the UK lags far behind Germany and France in gross contributions (2014-17).

And, as Terry rightly says, if you discount the "vast subsidies" received back, much of it to deprived areas that tend to be ignored by our own government, like Cornwall, the North East, South Wales (and, of course, all those "poor" farmers and major landowners!)'we slip back to 6th in the league of nett contributors, behind even the Netherlands and Belgium!

https://fullfact.org/europe/uk-one-biggest-contributors-eu-budget/

Still, better not let the TRUTH get in the way of a good prejudice eh? Else you'll have no more falsehoods and calumnies to plaster on the sides of your forthcoming EU election battlebusses.

We shouldn’t just concentrate on gross contributions to the EU budget by any country when we talk about ‘cash cows’.
The U.K. is one of the biggest consumers of EU goods and we tend not be as parochial as the Germans and French when it comes to our consumer choices. Not for nothing is the enormous German trade surplus with the rest of the EU viewed with annoyance by some countries. To the Germans paying considerably more to the EU budget is seen as a good deal when circa 20% of their car output is snaffled up by eager Brits.
The EU27’s eagerness to delay the UK’s exit for 6 months is telling.

Toby Young defending the vile comments of the sacked Housing Minister Roger Scruton. Toby really is a disgusting individual. He'd probably have me euthanised for such comments! As expected The Spectator is leading the defence of Scruton. ;(
