Never done this before
Without investors many people wouldn't even have jobs.

The contempt to which investors are held is a joke.

The general public = generally naïve fools.
Thanks, but if it's all the same to you, I won't be taking advice from a naive apologist for a broken capitalist system.

This saga may run on. The former CEO of Stobart has bought a slug of shares at around 4p. Hard to see why if he thinks the deal will go through at 1p. He may be banking on another bid emerging from somewhere. Or he might somehow think a significant loss is worthwhile if his involvement is a bloody nuisance to the Virgin consortium. After all, he is in a massive dispute with his former employer.

Fair enough, the dream world you inhabit suits you very nicely.

Andrew Tinkler. Reported to have bought a 10% stake but not to disrupt the take over by the consortium. Given his dispute with Stobart this is intriguing.

Singing in the rain...
Virgin have been known to sponsor shirts!

But yeah no to Gambling or payday loan companies
It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out over the coming months.

Going back to the gambling sponsors, I note that Interbet (who are Newport’s main shirt sponsor) are sponsoring the back of our shorts this season - not sure how long for though.

The way that gambling sponsorship is being normalised in football is quite alarming and there was a great article by David Conn in the Guardian the other day hitting the nail on the head regarding this:

Hope the future of Exeter Airport is secure along with the employment of those that work there, which must include many City fans.

As Ryanair recently announced three scheduled routes from Exeter (with the promise of more to come) my guess is that they'll be picking up some of the routes that flybe discontinue.
