In all fairness all they had to do was give him the 2 years notice that his contract would be reduced back to a one year or even 6 month rolling contract, once we got relegated, this would have been in place now.interesting to note if that link is correct that he was handed a one year rolling deal from the offset, and then this was obviously increased to two whilst in league one. I didn't know this, and suppose it possibly a good thing we didn't make the championship otherwise they would have maybe handed him a three or four year one.
I think handing a new manager a rolling deal is possibly a worse decision than an increase for someone who had done well at that point. would be interesting to know if dolan and inglethorpe had similar deals, or whether this was a special thing for Tisdale. just a shame there wasn't a clause that said it would revert to a one year roller again if we went down and things weren't going well in L2 imo.
