Hanging up the boots.
I got more infraction points yesterday for an alternate spelling of the C word. Just take it like a man and chill. Spanky kicked right off at me but we ahd it out in the car park and it's sorted now. (tmi)

Quite right Rae. If you are referring to Canute I think Jayne was quite within her rights to refer to said monarch by his alternative name.

However given Spanky's apparent subsequent retraction perhaps, at last, the tide is at last turning in respect of the Exeweb sweary-police.

I dont necessarily like the new VB swear filter. The old one used to allow the first letter then star the rest. i.e P*** F***which is how the old software did do it.

Its something built into the system and I dont think there is a way around it at present.

If there is a modification available I will see if we can buy it and install it

Nah, it's fine Lez. It's quite fun guessing the profanity. Mind you, using King **** would make that one easier ... :D

The filter is a ****ing useless pile of ****ty crap.

Despite all efforts it still allows through the very worst profanities of all, namely
Plymouth
and
Argyle

Could the site admin please take urgent steps to address this glaring loophole?
