What's going on with the Directors?

I realise that this will tread on some very tender toes but I feel that the question has to be asked.

I was at the Gravesend game today sitting in the grandstand to the right of the Directors boxes (and yes I did pay), understandably, Gravesend were well represented. However, in the City area were just a few squad players, Sally Cooke, Steve Perryman and his brother. If representatives of the City Board were elsewhere in the ground (terraces etc) and went in to socialise with the Gravesend officials at the end of the game then fine, I withdraw the comments, but if not, then I think it is a very poor show. A very important part of the job is to support and represent the Club at away games and if they are unable or unwilling to do this then they should not do the job. Even in the days of R&L they would attend every game, home and away and Stuart Dawe went to vitually every away game during his many years as Director.

I expect some very defensive postings but in all honest I don't give a sh*t, this is the reputation of our club and I can assure you it will be noticed by other clubs. I bet the boardroom is full every game at SJP

On the "Is it an important day for City...." thread CityDrinker seemed to be speculating that one or more of them might be making some sort of recce at Sandy Park.

Sorry if I've misrepresented you CD.

Could be, but it doesn't take all of them. Spoke with Gravesend friend at the end, he expressed surprise also.

If Wheatcroft is that good then why's the pitch at Argyle in such a state?

Malcolms, why don't you ask the question to the people who can answer you, i.e. the club, rather than here where rumour and speculation will abound and be fact before monday morning?

I think the point that many disappointed fans on here tonight are alluding to is the fact that we are debt free, that we have better levels of support than most in the conference with the added bonus that the Trust throws circa £150,000 a year into the club coffers.

Given those circumstances fans expect us to use those reources to better effect rather than being a mediocre mid table side.

Sorry,
posted this on the wrong thread.

Thats f*cking rich coming from the likes of you, I'm not the present boards biggest fan, but at least they're hopefully not taking us on the road to extinction.

And you are suggesting? please make sure you have control of your argument before you post defamatory remarks.

2 minute hobble from the nearest pub. Or in it.
No need to apologise for anything MR Jabba TG.
I was "speculating" that. Indeed I went so far as to suggest that I would think it remiss of them if they did not have a presence at Windy Park.

Well put remarks Mr Rightwing. But they would have been brilliantly put if they had been on the right thread. ;)

I can't for the life of me understand why Mr malcolms is being attacked for asking a perfectly reasonable question, on a message-board that is visited by so many people connected with our club. :S
