Post Count

Why display the number of posts that a user has made?

Surely it's led to the cult of the personality on here. As so emminently shown this week with many making fools of themselves, Exeweb, the Trust and the Club.

By not having it, we'd all be a lot more equal.

That is an interesting idea actually. I can see why it's useful for mods - particularly when we're looking for multis / banned users cropping back up. What do other people think?

Funny how it's always the ones with a low count (fnarr) who complain.

It's good for spotting when The_Original's new multi appears.

...I know he wasn't The_Original at first. But he's had so many multis I've forgotten!

I'm sorry, I don't usually entertain people with less than a thousand posts ...

Surely the only people who ever look at a post count are the ones who wish to have a higher one. BRB is pretty pointless and his poor post count backs this up. He will tell you he has a life but no one will notice due to him not reaching 1000 posts.

There is a simple rule of thumb to apply to post counts:

Not 8k = Probably gay.
