I took 50-1 each way Comply or Die. He is probably too old but has won before and knows the way round. Experience over those fences counts for a lot.

FPTP or AV? AV and I'll go each way on a horse with long odds. But which one. Stick pen in the paper or go by who has the best colours? Seems just as good way of selecting a horse as studying form for this race!

I know f*ck all about horseracing and avoid gambling like the plague, however, in the spirit of team building I have partaken of the company sweepstake and for my £1 'stake' I am now the proud owner of a slip of paper with the word QUINZ printed on it.

Do I stand to gain anything, other than the admiration of my colleagues for being such an inspiring leader yet downright decent chap?

Quinz is well backed in the ante post market but is only seven years old. No seven year old has won for 70 years and since 1992 only 4 out of 34 six/seven year olds to compete have even completed the course. 8-|

Statistically speaking you is fooked. :(

Thank you Alistair, but what, other than an oxymoron, is an ante post market??

A very good point on a betting parlance SG.

As you can now bet on horses in running ante post betting should mean any bet placed before the off. In practice it relates to betting on future races in the days, weeks, months ahead.
