Any one going?

Going to miss the general chit chat and tips from work this year.

Delicate finances will probably mean no real bets, but will see how I do with imaginary bets.

I find Top Form as a tipster in the Guardian to be quite good. Anybody follow anyone else decent at tipping?

I was offered prawn sandwich hospitality for Thursday. I declined.

In a meeting somewhere, some place...
Am there on Friday for the Gold Cup with YG ... he rang me today to say he was at the ground and had decided to go tomorrow as well ...

Looking forward to it - have only done a few courses before - Newbury, Warwick and Towcester so Cheltenham will be a step up ...

Not going to it, but have used up some holiday at work and taken Thurs and Fri off to watch it in the pub.

Will be having a bet on pretty much every race, but have yet to decide on any for tomorrow yet

Going on Thursday and hoping Grand Crus can beat Big Buck's in the stayers hurdle.

Also maybe Buena Vista in the Pertemps at 2.05 which he won last year.

Not doubting you but can't see how a £10 each-way double on Captain Chris [1st at 6-1] and Carole's Legacy [2nd at 9-1] pays anything like that. The win part of the bet is a loser; the each-way part is £10 at 6 x 0.2 [1/5 the odds a place] gives you £22 going on to Carole's Legacy at 9 x 0.25 [1/4 the odds a place] which equates to a return of £71.50. If your bookie's paid out £250 they've f*cked up. Big time.
