Has been on the white stuff.

Not massively surprising - why do people expect famous sports stars not to reflect society as a whole? A significant % of the population take coke on a regular basis, how is it a surprise that someone like Hatton is?

Worst kept secret ever? I've got a load of mates who work on the tourist/dj scene in Tenerife. After nearly every fight Hatton would go out there and have a big blow out.. He's a notorious binger.

Emphasis on the blow.

Guess the only consolation is that it's better than being a fat lad from Liverpool! ;-)

Incidentally, good point at St Andrew's. Is Roy the new Rafa, lol?!

Why does he deserve respect? For doing a stupidly lame drug? For not training hard enough for fights and being embarrassed? For generally ruining what could have been a succesful career?

Credy's right, he's just a fat Mancunian now.

He had a succesful career, loosing to Floyd and Pacman doesn't change that. It just meant he wasn't the best but to say he didn't have a succesful career is aload of rubbish considering he won world titles at 2 weights, beat one of the best boxers of the last 20 years and had over 30,000 fans follow him to Vegas

He trained hard enough, he just wasn't good enough.

Needs to sort himself out, it was obvious he would go down this road when he had no fights to train for.

To be honest he is having fun. His career has come to an end but still two very good fights to finish it off with just a shame he didnt win.

He is sorry and is he really harming anyone but himself doing it?

Let the man enjoy life ! :)

doubt his family are too happy with it?

he's gone into rehab according to papers and has been very depressed for ages, what a shame this has happened to him! so many boxers come into trouble after retirement but i couldn't imagine it happening to ricky, gutted about it
