Interesting article in The Times today.

Forget about the actual subject matter but for me, frustrating as some of the trolls and how vitriolic and childish things can get sometimes, I think anonimity is largely a positive. It just needs the correct amount of moderation.

Nope I don't get it either.

Spelt "you're" correctly as well, somewhat ruined the effect!

"Imagine seeing your face described by an anonymous poster, as ‘a slack-jawed turd-in-the-mouth mug’,” he wrote. “Surely there has to be something wrong with people who can resort to such over-the-top language ..."

Obviously never read his Shakespeare, or been made aware of the insult generators on the web such as http://www.pangloss.com/seidel/Shaker/index.html or http://www.william-shakespeare.org.uk/a1-shakespearean-insults-generator.htm

Though the web lacks the decorum of the Junior Debating Society at school, and often isn't even up to it's level of wit and reason, it does a) allow an exchange of ideas, b) allows those who otherwise couldn't to communicate and c) means a lot of people are safely behind keyboards & not roaming the streets! ;-)
