Can you imagine this happening in football?

This has got nothing to do with any 'gesture' from the Chiefs toward their struggling visitors. Without getting the game on they would lose in the region of £30,000 in revenue therefore paying Coventry £500 for a coach is peanuts in comparison to what they knew they would lose! I don't blame them for doing so but hey let's be real about the motivation?

What, you mean like a club loaning 2 players to a local rival for a season and still paying their wages?

How about everyone apart from Reading (and maybe someone else?) writing off half of the money they were owed by ECFC?

Anyway, we all know the Chiefs' firm - the Sly Half Crew - will be lying in wait to smash all the coach windows.

Nice easy win, five more points in the struggle to make the play offs, cost less than a pile, income from day, thick end of 50k I shouldn't wonder, good business and sporting sense, magnanimous philanthropy ? I think not.

In a meeting somewhere, some place...
would it all be for nought in terms of points gained if they go out of business ?

That being said - losing £30-50k 2 weeks before Christmas was a no brainer ...

There's only one "great gesture" I'd ever extend to the Ch*efs (and their Shandy Park wet-dream)
