Anyone fancy their chances of picking five home wins from this?

I reckon there could be quite a few there, and some of the prices are quite generous.

The Coca-Cola Football League Championship
Blackpool v Peterborough, 15:00
Coventry v Middlesbrough, 15:00
Derby v Bristol City, 15:00
Ipswich v Newcastle, 17:30
Leicester v Preston, 15:00
QPR v Barnsley, 15:00
Reading v Watford, 15:00
Scunthorpe v Doncaster, 12:00
Sheff Wed v Cardiff, 15:00
Swansea v Sheff Utd, 15:00
West Brom v Crystal Palace, 15:00
Sunday
Plymouth v Nottm Forest, 13:15

Having looked at this again - but this time with a possible 'investment' in mind - perhaps the odds available aren't so generous after all.

I've gone for home wins for Derby, Leicester, QPR, Reading and Scunthorpe - which adds up to about 35/1. (Definitely a long shot though.)

All look dodgy apart from West Brom IMO. There looks an away banker on Sunday.

Stay clear of Derby, in bad form at the moment.

Blackpool, Leicester, Plymouth, WBA and Reading. But I wouldn't bet on it. I would do a treble of WBA, Blackpool and Plymouth though.

Yes, sorry, it's kind of the absence of bankers that made it interesting. Some really good prices for home wins, I thought, but maybe I'm under-estimating the extent of Reading and Derby's early season problems.

Anyway, I'm happy with my punt - five home wins, including a few sides who are perhaps 'due a win' (the optimistic punter's version of out of form) - and odds of 38 to 1 seem pretty generous.

Well, the value home wins were there - Blackpool, Derby, QPR, Sheff Weds and Swans - but I was nowhere near them...
