It's sounding more positive now apparently.

A bizarre crash made even more bizarre by what hapenned last weekend. A 19 year old French driver, Henry Surtees (son of the former F1 champion by the same name), died after getting hit on the head by a stray tyre (it had come out of the tyre wall after a crash by a driver in front) during an F2 race at Brands Hatch.

I've never seen anything like it, so to see 2 in one week is pretty unbelievable.

Hope that Massa can make a full recovery, he always seemed like a good and popular lad.

Massa is past the worst of it hopefully and should make a full recovery. But it does look as though he is likly to miss at least the end of this season if not more. Just suppose the good thing is that he should be ok now

On Sunday then, will they race with 19 drivers? Or will they put the test driver in the seat?

interesting to see if they do allow another driver to take his place whether he'd start from 10th or back of the grid too

He was hit by a spring that fell off Barichello's car. Very unfortunate.

In a meeting somewhere, some place...
that spring would have hurt if you were standing still and it hit you .. to hit it at 175mph must have been very frightening ... if he saw it of course ...
