South Yorkshire Police Advice..........

Having been on a minibus many moons ago to see Bolton play Rotherham with some mates, I recall their policy on checking coaches and minibus for booze. They will turn away on sight of booze. We had a daft lad with a whiskey bottle for his Dad's birthday and they kicked up. Fortunately he was wearing a Rotherham shirt so they let us through!

so more of an anecdote rather than official advice then ....

I had a run in with South Yorkshire's finest on a visit to Millmoor many years ago...A plod asked me where i was going(it was 1pm) when i said 'to the pub',he said he would bar me from going into the away end if i did!....He was not joking...I went to the boozer & dodged him on the way back....PR was not high on his agenda..

well you'd expect them to have made some attempts to improve in recent weeks.

Now that a number of them (well, the traffic ones!) are famous for being on t'telly, they might improve their PR a bit.

Oh thats not good people were bringing some for the trip home.

The only drink you boys will be drinking on your coach is Coca cola and Panda pops

I believe alongside the Met, South Yorkshire police have the worst reputation in Britain.
