England's dark horse if they want to win the Ashes?

Just taken 4 wickets and scored a run a ball 60 in the CCC.

Is going to be a class bowler/all rounder but don't think he offers enough threat yet with the ball in test cricket - ifor me, in an ideal world he'd have another year in the County Championship.

Problem is we have such poor strength in depth in the bowling department that he has to start

He is the future and is getting better and better. He also could have finally solved our Number 8 problem as well.

He is getting there. By no means the finished article with the ball, but improving all the time. I see him being our "Glenn McGrath" in years to come.

He could potentially bat at 7 IMO. Assuming a fit Freddie at 6, this could facilitate a specialist keeper coming in at 8 (Read, Foster, Scott) and actually holding catches and not conceding 50 bl**dy byes.

Just like the old days...
I love him.

He's got star quality.

His dad was an awesome batsman, and I remember him being interviewed after coming back from an ashes tour when Stuart was born. Ouch!

Yeah that's what I was thinking...in some ways he reminds me of a young Brett Lee...

He definitely isn't the finished article...but he has made some great strides and I do think he might be the one the Aussies underestimate. With Simon Jones slim chances of playing now at 0 I think he is a certain starter for that 1st test.

I like Matty Prior, his wicketkeeping has improved a LOT and he is a quality batsman
